their permission form too.

What are your hours of operation?
- We are Open by appointment of groups of 8 or more players (we can handle
up to 60 players at once). Please call at least 1 week before the date

usually 2-3 weeks notice is required. Deposits are required to book an
appointment.

can have them ready for you (otherwise we don't set up rental markers).
On "Open Days", we mix everybody that comes out to play into 2 large teams
(hopefully balanced for experience & firepower). Most of the players on
"Open Days" have there own equipment. We also run at least 2 Night Games

only Pump Markers are allowed.

What is Paintball?
-
Paintball is one of the most exciting sports. It is played in over
30 countries.
-
Players: men or women over the age of 10 can play. School teachers,
students, professionals or technicians, all players share a love for adventure
& strong competitive team spirit.
-
Paintball is similar to childhood "tag" and "hide and seek", but much more
challenging and sophisticated.
-
A paintball splat removes you from the game.
-
The object of the game is to capture the opponents flag and protect your
own.
-
Players are divided into two teams (red & blue armbands).
-
At Paintball Paradise, we play other variations including: center flag,
hunter rabbit, line-up, barn attack, and more.
-
We're open to new ideas too.
What is a Paintball?
-
A paintball is a marble sized sphere (0.68 caliber).
-
The paint inside is non-toxic, non caustic, water-soluble and biodegradable.
-
Colors of the paint varies, but red & blue are banned from the field.
-
The gelatin cover is just like a vitamin capsule (most paintballs are manufactured
by pharmaceutical companies).
-
On impact, the paintball splits open and splatters the paint on the target.
-
The paint rinses out of clothing and off skin with mild soap and water.
-
A player who is marked is eliminated from the game.
What is a Paintball marker?
-
A specially designed "air" powered marker, which can
hold 180 paintballs and can fire them semi automatic (one shot per tigger
pull) up to 10 balls per second. Some paintball markers are pump action.
-
The paintball markers used at Paintball Paradise are Vibe semi-automatics.
-
Field speed limit on the paintballs is 270 f.p.s. (feet per second), which
is 30 f.p.s. slower than most fields.
-
A field limit of 10 b.p.s. (ball per second)
-
All paintballs markers must be radar chronographed (speed tested) to under 270 f.p.s.
Does a paintball hit hurt?
-
Not likely, because of the adrenaline in your blood and the safety equipment
worn to protect you.
-
Safety equipment includes: Special Paintball Impact-proof Goggles that
protect the eyes & ears, head wrap & camouflage jacket.
-
However; at close range sometimes they will leave a minor bruise and may
feel like a mild bee sting.
How safe is paintball?
-
Paintball is one of the safest sports, when proper protective equipment
is used. This means only paintball approved goggles. JT, Scott,
Vents & Leader manufacture proper paintball goggles, however; some
make goggles for other uses which are no good for paintball.

Who plays paintball and why?
-
Everybody who wants to have a great time, and is over 10 years old.
-
Paintball is a sport where women and men compete equally and where age
is not dominated by youth.
-
Size and strength are not as important as intelligence and determination.
-
Major corporations send executives to play because it teaches: quick thinking,
strategy, planning, team work, self-esteem, leadership skills, motivation,
trust, communication, co-operation, problem solving and it relieves stress.
-
And it's FUN!
Where can I get more information?
-
The easiest and best way to find out more is to ask other people who have
played.
-
Remember, things change quickly in paintball, so somebody who hasn't played
in a few years might be out of date.
-
There are international magazines which you should be able to get a your local
book store or convenience store.
-
Check out the links from this site, to great
paintball sites from around the world.
